What is the “Cutt Above” difference?

Another week in the field visiting potential clients for estimate and brain storming sessions had me thinking about today’s blog post. What is the “Cutt Above” communication difference and why do we stand out in what can appear to be a crowded concrete contractor business field? It comes to down a few main categories and how our approach differs from the traditional approach and brings YOU, the customer, deeper into the know around your project, our process, and the why behind our methods.

Communication is key and provides you peace of mind for your major purchase!

Punctuality - In multiple visits to perspective job sites this week to meet with potential clients I was shocked to hear “Wow, you were right on time like you said you would be” or “Thanks for actually showing up today. We’ve had multiple no-call/no-shows for estimates.” With our team we understand that your time is valuable, your schedules are as busy as can be, and it is our responsibility to protect your time as if it was our own. If we say we are going to be somewhere, we will be, and on time. As in life unexpected things happen to everyone and in those instances you will always be looped in and updated immediately when adjustments are needed. We are here to make this process smooth for all parties and the initial key to that is quality, effective, and reliable communication.

Transparency - In one of our visits this week with a potential client we began discussing the install process and what it would require. This customer shared some of the process other contractors had told him would be needed, but they never gave a “why” behind their suggestions. We took the time to educate the customer on different approaches, materials, and processes we could use as well as the advantages and disadvantages to each approach. We discussed cost differentials, quality differentials, and overall appearance/longevity impacts that would occur based on what they elected. In the end, the customer felt much comfortable moving forward with us for their new concrete patio pour because we took the time to make sure they understood our process and recommendations. We were not the cheapest quote in this scenario, but peace of mind and quality craftsmanship are worth that difference.

Project Updates and Follow-Up - There are multiple ways to reach a similar end result in concrete patios, driveways, and outdoor living spaces. While the end result may look similar initially, the long-term quality is something that is a must when discussing your project with your contractor. There will almost always be adjustments that are needed during an installation due to some of the unexpected. In these instances we will always communicate with you, the customer, on what happened, what our options moving forward are, and any impacts to the final product we expect or do not expect. We will always provide detailed breakdowns and explanations for you to go over and make the best selection for your personal situation and budget. Educating our customers is key to developing trust and understanding which assists greatly in creating the best final product possible.

I hope this provides a little insight into how we approach our business and look to stand out against the field. As always, get in touch with us today to go over any of your project ideas or questions you may have. It’s never too early to get the wheels turning for your next home project and we would love to help out.
